Lithium batteries are electronic consumables, the service life is generally 3 years. End-of-life lithium batteries, if not effectively treated or improperly disposed of, waste lithium batteries among the lithium hexafluorophosphate, organic carbonate, as well as cobalt, copper and other heavy metals. Therefore, it will certainly cause some pollution to the environment. On the other hand, the substances in used lithium batteries: cobalt, lithium, copper and plastic are all resources with high recycling value. Therefore, the effective recycling and separation of used lithium batteries, scientific treatment, not only can bring significant environmental benefits, but also bring better economic benefits. Lithium battery is mainly composed of positive electrode, negative electrode, shell, electrolyte and diaphragm for structural combination. The positive electrode is composed of lithium cobalt powder coated on both sides of the aluminum foil collector through PVDF, which acts as a bonding agent; the negative electrode structure is similar to the positive electrode, composed of carbon powder bonded on both sides of the copper foil collector. According to the characteristics of different structure of lithium battery positive electrode, Xingmao Environmental Protection is composed of crushing and screening, then airflow sorting process, through which effective separation research is carried out, thus realizing the effective separation and recovery of aluminum and black powder of used lithium battery positive electrode.

Working principle of waste lithium battery cathode sheet equipment

The material properties of aluminum and cathode materials among the lithium battery cathode structure require a combination process of hammer vibration crushing, vibratory screening and airflow sorting to be able to separate and recover the waste lithium battery cathode component materials. ICP-AES was used to analyze the metal grade of the experimental samples and the separated and enriched products. The experimental results show that after the crushing and screening of the cathode material, the grade of aluminum in the crushed material with particle size greater than 0.250 mm is 92.4%, while the grade of cathode material in the crushed material with particle size less than 0.125 mm is 96.6%, which can be recovered directly; the grade of aluminum in the crushed material with particle size from 0.125 to 0.250 mm is lower, which can be separated from the cathode material by airflow sorting. In the process of airflow sorting, the recovery rate of aluminum reached 92.3% and the grade reached 84.4% when the operating airflow speed was 1.00 m/s.  

Waste lithium battery cathode sheet equipment features

 1, need to be crushed by hammer vibration, vibrating screen disassembly and sorting and airflow sorting combination process, so as to achieve the resource recycling of aluminum and cathode materials in the waste lithium battery, energy recycling.
 2, cathode materials need to first through the hammer vibration crushing so as to effectively achieve the mutual disassembly and separation of carbon powder aluminum foil stripping, and then need to be based on the size difference between the particles and shape difference of the vibrating screen, the initial separation of aluminum foil and cathode materials screening. After the hammer vibration stripping disassembly and sieving separation, the test results show that the aluminum and cathode materials are enriched in the particle size greater than 0.250 mm and particle size less than 0.125 mm, respectively, with a grade of 92.4% and 96.6%, which can be directly sent to the downstream enterprises for direct recycling.
 3, for the particle size of 0.125 ~ 0.250 mm and low grade aluminum broken particles, need to use the airflow sorting system, so as to achieve effective disassembly and separation between aluminum and cathode materials, if the airflow speed reaches 1.00 m / s, can achieve better recycling results, for the recovery rate of aluminum metal can be as high as 92.3%, the grade of 84.4%.
 4、The positive electrode piece crushing and recycling equipment is mainly used in lithium-ion battery manufacturers, and the positive electrode material in the scrap positive electrode piece can be dismantled and separated, so as to achieve the purpose of recycling. The complete set of equipment operates continuously under negative pressure, without any dust outflow, and the separation and screening efficiency can reach more than 98%.
